meet alanna // MAS intern

We're excited to announce that Mad About Style Boutique will be hosting the launch of new designer Alanna Tinsley Roy's fashion collection for Winter 2013, along with their Midnight Madness shopping event! Join us Friday, December 7th from 6-11pm to meet the designer and shop the boutique for everyone on your holiday gift list! 

Along with once-a-year sales on yoga jeans, boots, accessories and all clothing, the evening will also feature a sample sale of designer Alanna Tinsley Roy's custom-made garments, hand picked exclusively for Mad About Style customers! With colours of rich wine, pale champagne and dark lace, the collection is perfect for work, evening or that glamorous holiday party. Garments will be on display for customers to try on and available by order to be custom-tailored to fit every woman's shape!

A recent graduate of MC College School of Fashion and Apparel Design, Alanna designs womenswear clothing with a dark feminine twist. Subtle contrasts such as structure, softness, fluidity and texture create a modern femme fatale look. Her new collection is inspired by current and historical backdrops. Urban settings, dark Gothic architecture as well as shadowy smoke and fog create a sense of sophistication and of the feminine mystique. Designed for the young professional, the collection emphasizes quality, classic silhouettes and luxurious fabrics. (Alana's fashion illustrations below)

the ankle boot

Through sun, rain or snow those who cherish fashion will always find ways to wear their favourite trends. Case and point: the western style ankle boot. They've been around since spring/summer time but let us MAD folks tell you we also love them for fall/winter! 

Cute for everyday, since the heel height is perfectly stunted, but is great because they are also wearable for the dressier type!

Since the weather is turning to a harsh cold, wear these boots with a fitted skinny jean for a casual look or a stocking for a dressed up feel with either a dress/shirt dress/tunic!
